ZNIR Certificates have arrived from Japan

The ZNIR Dan Certificates for the 2014 CIA Summer Dan examination have arrived from the ZNIR in Japan through official channels. After some minor checks by Itoh Sensei, CIA headquarters will be sending them out to your local Sensei, who will then present you your certificate.

CIA is now first ever foreign ZNIR Association

The Canadian Iaido Association (CIA) has officially become a Kyoukai (association) of the Zen Nippon Iaido Renmei (ZNIR – All Japan Iaido Federation), under the Kanto Chiku Renmei.

ZNIR/CIA Yearly Membership Fee

Kato Haruo sensei and Itoh Takeji sensei has once again managed to lower the ZNIR Nenkaihi (yearly membership fee), from 2500 JPY to 1000 JPY. This decision was made after extensive discussion during several Kantou Chiku Renmei general meetings and the final decision has been made. Please see our Fees page for more detailed information.
