We are pleased to announce Sky Valley Hokusei Dojo has been officially approved as an affiliate Dojo in the ZNIR/CIA. We warmly welcome Sky Valley Hokusei Dojo to the Canadian Iaido Association and look forward to productive Iaido practice together.

New CIA Dojo: Shoshinkai (初心会) Westshore
Chris Tooley Sensei, 6dan, has moved his Saturday classes to the great facilities in Juan De Fuca recreation centre in the Westshore area in Langford.
ZNIR Certificates have been shipped
The ZNIR Dan Certificates for the 2014 CIA Summer Dan examination have been shipped to your local sensei via Canada Post.
ZNIR Certificates have arrived from Japan
The ZNIR Dan Certificates for the 2014 CIA Summer Dan examination have arrived from the ZNIR in Japan through official channels. After some minor checks by Itoh Sensei, CIA headquarters will be sending them out to your local Sensei, who will then present you your certificate.
CIA is now first ever foreign ZNIR Association
The Canadian Iaido Association (CIA) has officially become a Kyoukai (association) of the Zen Nippon Iaido Renmei (ZNIR – All Japan Iaido Federation), under the Kanto Chiku Renmei.
